Photos of Hoi An
All of these photos of Hoi An were taken in it’s ancient old town. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famed for having been a trading port between the 15th and 19th centuries. It’s a really cool place to stay and there is a really nice beach nearby. Any trip to Vietnam should be sure to include a visit to this lovely city!

Information on Hoi An:
Transport
Danang International Airport is the nearest airport to the city. Hoi An is also served by the popular long distance buses that run throughout the country. Night buses are an efficient way to get around Hoi An and you can book transport through your hostel/guesthouse.
There is a beach nearby
An Nang beach is one of the best in Vietnam and a short taxi ride from the centre. Its pretty chilled out and worth spending a day here at least.
Food and drink
There are loads of restaurants here that are reasonably priced. Even if your on a budget don’t worry they won’t break the bank. As well as Vietnamese food look out for the Indian places as they are of good quality. In terms of nightlife there are plenty of bars, particularly along the riverside.
Accommodation
Hostel wise there are 2 places I’d recommend here. DKs hostel (part of the Vietnam backpackers chain) is the place to stay in town if you want to socialise and join bar crawls. Under the Coconut Tree is out of town by the awesome Ao Nang beach. This is the place to go if you want to chill out and relax. It’s one my personal favourite hostels too!
